NYCPS Use: 2026–27
NYCPS restricts student-facing generative AI in grades 2K–8 and limits high-school student use. Staff may use AI for instructional planning and operational tasks subject to privacy, security, procurement, and other requirements. NYCPS also prohibits AI grading, behavior monitoring, and specified decisions about students.
The AI-PLC Agent is educator-facing, but that alone does not authorize every function. Before using student information or task-band, feedback, or grouping functions, confirm the permitted scope with your school and The Core Collaborative. Educator review does not override a prohibited use.
